Sushi is pretty good, but the roll sizes are small.
The delicious food, great selection of sake, friendly staff, and trendy atmosphere... this place just simply raises the bar.

What a spot! The freshest fish + the hottest decor. Eat there, you won't be disappointed.
The alligator and caterpillar rolls are excellent, the black pearl is also great. In fact I have eaten at Gari's probably ten times since it has opened and I am always impressed

Chef Gary Huang is amazing! He has a flair of creating exceptional sushi. He is creative and has a keen sense of entertaining the taste palette. Without question, our experience (including Omokase) with Chef Gary has been the best sushi experience my wife and I have ever had.
Gari was the best Japanese restaurant in town, don't miss the fusion.
Superb staff, very good food. The Volcano, their signature uramaki is a must have. Prices are OK, too. If you wanna save, stick to the traditionals.
Thank you Gari! A breath of fresh air into the stuffy Sushi establishments in this city. Gari may not be a hidden gem much more after the word gets out, but the menu is so unique and so fresh. The service was superb. Oh, and the kicker? A bathroom with a really cool sink (hey, it's important)!
GARI sets themselves apart from traditional Japanese restaurants with it's upbeat atmosphere and delicious creations. My wife and I came for sushi, but left with an experience!
One of Beantown's finest. The ribs there are finger licking good. Food there has a lot of taste and class.

Excellent lighting, excellent staff as well as a very fine hostess. I was usually not a fan of sushi until I came to this restaurant. Now I cannot wait to eat it. Very reasonable priced and excellent service. This is truly a diamond in the rough of all the sushi restaurants in MA.
