Improv Asylum is a comedy theater that features improvisation and sketch comedy. We’ve been described as Whose Line is it Anyway? meets Saturday Night Live!. Opened in 1998, Improv Asylum has performed over 3,500 shows, for over 500,000 people. We’ve been featured on HBO, and we’ve performed in New York, Chicago, Los Angeles, Austin, Aspen and throughout the country. Improv Asylum also offers unique corporate training, hilarious customized corporate shows and a student training center. We strive to provide the best comedic theater experience.

It's a great place. Lots of laughs and a great location to get dinner before a show or dessert at Mike's Pastry afterward. Awesome beer and they value your business.

I went there for my birthday one year and I laughed so hard I spit beer out of my mouth and all over the couple sitting in front of me! Great laughs!

always funny, always cheap, always good beers on tap. the ushers and bartenders there are so nice. awesome place to take a date or just to have a good time with some buddies. i love how they rag on southie. they should do a skit about mike's pastry. the funniest place in boston!

a unique performance that the whole crowd enjoyed, just a great enviornemt altogether. if your undecided on what to do for the evening, look no further, this is the spot.

Well i've been there three times, and never once has it been the same. One time i came so close to peeing my pants i endeed up falling out of my seat and being offered the laughing pass which is for the loudest laugher and is a free pass back!!! So for a fun night 20 bucks, you can buy a few drinks have a few laughs which burns calories GIRLS and lets not forget if a person can't laugh at this never date them again, best first date place in the entire world, in fact it's the best date place ever.

This place is absolutely hilarious. The actors are the most talented in Boston, the front of House is really fun, they play good music and you can get BUCKETS OF BEER!! BEST PLACE IN BOSTON!

My wife and I attended a show last month and were blown away by the unique methods employed to cull material from the audience and the incredibly fast and clever improvisation.
The mix of improv and sketches is the perfect formula for a great evening of comedy.
Even the drunk guy who fell off of his chair in the front row got folded into a sketch!

I went with my husband and two kids. They picked on me because I was too fat to fit in the chair so the wonderful front of house staff got me two folding chairs so I could put my butt cheeks on each one. I didn't care though, I was laughing so hard. They really make fat people feel welcome down there.

Different than typical stand-up. Comics are very quick and work very well together. My favorite skits are the ones where they re-enact a personal story of an audience member. Always a great time.

Their actors are incredibly talented - by far the best in Boston. Their tech and musicians work seamlessly together and with the actors to provide a show unlike any other. And the entertainment does not stop there - they have a phenomenal front of house who all make sure that your entertainment experience is the best that you could possibly have.

creative, outrageously funny, and amazingly talented. they have great timing and complimentary performances that never fail to leave the audience roaring. These superb actors deserve top award because of their originality, quick wit, and dark humor. They are simply the best.

Improv Asylum always has the freshest skits and actors in Boston, especially the North End location. For $20, you get two solid hours of live entertainment where you never know what to expect next. I literally laughed so hard I threw up in one of the beer buckets once.

It is always a great time. The staff is wonderful and the crowd never seems to get out of hand. I feel like it is guaranteed fun at the Asylum. Thank you for your efforts.
