And your Jewish mother will kvell over the brisket even if she doesn't take to tray offerings such as pork sausages and smoked ham. Kosher, this is not. In fact, what has made this 'new Jewish'-style restaurant one of the best eating spots in Brookline are the less traditional offerings, including cheddar-apple omelets and banana stuffed French toast. The wild artwork and hip young wait staff seal the deal; this ain't your grandma's deli."

I've never had a bad breakfast here, and the bagel chips are wonderful! The wait is always worth it!
...and for lunch you should try the steak sandwich with bleu cheese and bacon. but only on special occasions.
I love their latkes with salmon and dill. AWESOME. Also their challah french toast is great too.
Zaftig's is fun and offers a good breakfast and lunch. It's also a kid-friendly place!
Zaftig's bagel chips cannot be beat, and that's just to start! Everything is yummy!
