Phidippides has been serving the Atlanta running community since 1975. Olympian Jeff Galloway started Phidippides in order to combine state-of-the-art product with expert guidance in the selection of running shoes, apparel, and accessories for all runners and walkers. Our staff will evaluate you running or walking to establish your foot function -- this is unique from foot shape, which is a separate variable in the equation. Once the foot function is determined, the evaluation process continues by comparing fit and comfort of those shoes appropriate to your mechanics.

Sandy Springs phenom, Susan Jones is the best! Clothing and accessories rule, they have a great buyer. Gregory Sheats' shoe knowledge is unsurpassed. Then there's that goofy long haired guy. What a great staff!

Phidippides has been around for 30 years..their staff learn from the best and most experienced, and they pass that on to you, the consumer. They might not be the flashiest or in your face but they make you feel a part of the running scene and basically are all about getting you on the road and having fun. Thanks for making my running enjoyable!

First of all, they are hands down the most knowledgeable group of people in Atlanta --They aren't just selling you merchandise to make money, They really care about putting the right shoe on your foot so you can have the best running experience possible. They also offer tremendous outreach programs that not only encourage beginners all the way up to the everyday runner to get out there and run, but they invite knowledgeable experts in to talk about running issues and to introduce the last in running gear!.

They are the best...all the staff have been there for a long time and know the business better than anyone. I can count on a fun experience and great service when I go. I like Phidippides best because 1) they have great selection, 2) all of their employees are really knowledgeable and funny, 3) they know what they are talking about and always looking out for the customer, and 4) besides being funny, they are incredibly good looking! What a combination.

Employees give one-on-one assistance to the customer. You can actually take the shoes for a "test drive" before you buy. Try to do that at the mall stores or "big box" sporting good stores. They are first class runners themselves, so they know what they are talking about.

When I first moved to Atlanta 6 years ago, I was told Phidippides was THE place to get your running shoes. I've shopped there ever since and have never been disappointed! The staff is fun and knowledgeable, they never "sell" me anything I don't need, and I have a great time every time I go! Thanks Phidippides!!

Everyone in the store is extremely helpful and friendly. Truly dedicating to the sport of running. They have a great return policy if the shoes just aren't right. I'm fairly flat-footed and they've found great shoes for me.
