Set in Newton Center, the Cafe St. Petersburg offers Russian hospitality and culinary excellence in all its details. Together, owners Ludmila and Natan Slezinger created an atmosphere of aristocratic dining with classic cuisine, with the warm feeling that you are dining at your aristocratic grandmother’s table.

The food is excellent, the atmosphere is great and I love the decor. I also appreciate the fact that the staff makes you feel at home and lets one stay at the table as long as one wants. No dining in a hurry at St. Petersburg Cafe! It's perfect for a romantic date, no pressure to leave quickly, great food, great ambiance.

Dining at Cafe St. Petersburg is like taking a wonderful trip to a far-away land. The original Russian artwork is gorgeous. The decor is sophisticated yet warm and inviting. Beautiful live piano music fills the air on weekends. The waitstaff is impeccably dressed, professional and very attentive. The menu provides a dining adventure. There is something for everyone --- meats, seafood, vegetarian dishes. My favorite is the Georgian egglant. And, of course, there is the famous Cafe St. Petersburg homemade cranberry vodka, which I highly recommend tasting. If you are looking for a unique night out with someone special, try Cafe St. Petersberg. It will be a night not soon forgotten.
