Decatur CD is the best! Great selection, terrific service, friendly, knowledgeable staff with a genuine love for all kinds of music, and for people who make and listen to music. Just all around great folks! It feels like home. All stores should be like this.

This isn't just a place to buy records. This is a place to listen to them, talk about them, run into friends, find out about new stuff that's out. They are often playing something interesting when you come in. Thanks to Decatur CD I've discovered bands I like (e.g. The Gourds). They have contests, in-store events, and tickets for good things... email newsletter and blog... and Warren...

The best neighborhood music store period. Great selection, knowledgeable and friendly staff, and none of the too cool attitude that is far too common at the other places.

Decatur CD has the best staff in the whole world. They're incredibly helpful, music lovers, but not at all scary like Jack Black's character in High Fidelity.

Decatur CD is the only music store you need, period. They have an amazing selection of CDs and of music video DVDs. They also have a lot of fun around there, with occasional parties, free tickets, and other goodies. I guarantee you'll love the place, and also, if they happen to not have something special you want, they can get it for you within an insanely short time.

The owner and staff rocks. They care about music, their customers and the community. They hold great events to help pub local bands. It's a good place to go to hang out, chat and peruse new jams!

When Decatur CD opened right around the corner from my house, I couldn't believe how much the used bin looked like my record collection. Even the new titles are just the good stuff, uncluttered by teen pop idols. Wilco, Tom Waits and The Flaming Lips are superstars at this place. Awesome record store.
