In 1954 my father, Nordy Rockler, started a mail order woodworking supply company in Minneapolis. It was then known as Minnesota Woodworkers Supply Company, and among the products featured in the first catalog were specialty wood veneers and hardware items such as knobs, pulls and table slides. Woodworkers responded positively to having a place where they could always get what they needed. We have been on the web since 1996, and are reaching more woodworkers than ever before! Whether you're a seasoned pro, a home–improvement enthusiast or a craftsperson, we believe you will enjoy browsing our online catalog, getting interesting tips through our email newsletter, and being the first to find out about some exciting new products! We are constantly on the lookout for new ways to make all your projects as fulfilling as they can be.

Best woodworking store in Boston. Doug and Woody in particular are one of the better sales associates at any woodworking store I've been to.
they constantly have the items I have needed, the sales staff is knowledgeable , and they usually go out of their way to help.
The place to get good tools, also magazines to help learn how. Good place to find specialty woods.
The quality of the merchandise is unsurpassed as is the selection. All of the salespeople are first class, knowledgeable, polite; I could go on and on. Whether a novice woodworker or a pro, Rockler is the only store you will ever need.
They have a great selection of hardware and wood. I always find the right item for that "special project" Great selection of wood working tools!
Rockler's Cambridge store consistently delivers me the products and solutions I need (and talks me out of the ones I don't) in a low-key environment where the feeling is more like a fully-staffed browsing library than that of a supermarket. It's worth the drive, and parking is easy.
Rockler Rocks! I make the trip from the South End to Cambridge bi-weekly. The staff is about as good as it gets, and you get to know them on a first name basis. Woody, Doug, et al. step up and provide excellent guidance. It's not unusual that their attentive listening to my need will steer me towards a less expensive product that better fits my need. I've even gotten guidance regarding upcoming sales. I was there yesterday buying a roller stand and was asked at least 3 times--with no pressure--"[did I] need any help?" I don't think these guys work on commission. They just want you to get the right thing, and do your project in the right way.
They are very interested in giving advice when asked. they are the most customer focused store of their type.
