Established in 1936 on the east side of Detroit as a neighborhood tavern at the corner of Conant and Six Mile Road, Buddy's introduced the first Sicilian style square pizza to the metro Detroit area in 1946. The key to Buddy's has always been our dedicated, hardworking employees. Many of our "old-timers" worked at the original buddy's and today still take pride in keeping those traditions alive in the new locations.

Another Detroit area legend - and with good reason. Their pizza is always consistently delicious. Add an antipasto salad and you are in for a fantastic meal.

If you like a big mouthful of chewy dough that tastes like cardboard, then Buddy's is your place to go. I can see that if you have never been outside of Michigan and never had real pizza you might think this is *great* pizza, but that is just an illusion.

Sauce is never spread out evenly and they don't put enough toppings one. Probably because they can hide that fact with the cheese on top.

The same recipe as CloverLeaf, but CloverLeaf does it so much better.
Buddy's is good ... Cloverleaf is great and their origins are the same Detroit Bar.
If you're a perfectionist, take a step up and get the original square pizza still made the way it was years ago.
