Ann Arbor Comedy Showcase is one of Ann Arbor’s most unique entertainment establishments. Originally the Mainstreet Comedy Showcase. Opening in 1984 above the Heidelberg Restaurant, the intention was to provide live comedy shows featuring the best of the rising young stars in the comedy business. In 1987 the Comedy Showcase moved to our current location on Liberty, below Seva Restaurant. Our intentions to provide the best in rising talent are proven, as you may recognize some of the big stars that have performed on our stage, such as Tim Allen, Drew Carey, Rosie O’Donnell, Chris Titus, Ellen DeGeneres, Soupy Sales, Paula Poundstone, Elayne Boosler, Rita Rudner and Father Guido Sarducci, to name a few. In addition to the highly recognizable talent we bring in, we have also continued through the years to bring what we feel are the next "big stars" to our stage. Our labors to bring in the best talent results in the quality of show that prompted Rolling Stone magazine to call us "one of the best clubs between the coasts".

This place ROCKS! It is a great place to go for a date or with a group! I've been going for years...love their long island ice teas and bottomless popcorn.

The prices are reasonable and the comedy is varied. There is something for
just about everyone. We have enjoyed the Ann Arbor Showcase several
times a year. We also like the fact that sometimes there are free tickets awarded, like
on one's birthday, and a drawing for free tickets at the end of the show.

Ann Arbor Comedy Showcase has its finger on the pulse of the best comedians working today. I frequent the showcase often, and always have a good time. The wait staff is hardworking and the drinks are good. Arrive early to get your ticket, because a lot of people like the showcase, but the box office will get you in before the show starts.

Been going there for 15 years enjoy my night but I have to disagree with the staff comments I never have a friendly server no matter how much I tip! Other than that I like the small venue so no matter where you sit you have a great seat!

The staff is friendly and accomodating. There are often more than two acts in a show and there are many big acts and opportunities for free admission.

They have the best comedians in such a small venue. I love that about the Ann Arbor Comedy Showcase. You can actually see the comedian's face. They are not ant size due to the monstrosity of large venues.

Every time my husband and I go we have a wonderful time. It doesn't matter whether they have a big headliner or someone starting out, we laugh every time and share great memories with our family and friends. It never fails the comedians usually bring up something that pertains to one of us in our group that we laugh about long after the show. It's a good time!

They work hard to secure great acts. I always have an excellent time when I go due to the fabulous service and hilarious comedy.
