The Harvest Co-op Market has two locations. One is on Mass Ave. in Central Square, Cambridge, and the other is on South Street in Jamaica Plain. Both stores have a great selection of fresh fruit and fresh salads to make it easy for you to pick up fresh lunch on the run. Harvest has been community owned since 1971

I love the harvest coop. we just moved here from Vermont, and I was worried I wouldn't be able to find real food. Turns out, we can! Not only that, but they have all my favorite gluten free stuff, too...
For all the people I have met at this market it really feels like the markets I remember from years gone by in my child years in the tropics and in the small towns of this country. I enjoy the
'diversity' of foods available. There are also a variety of herbs and supplements available! It feels like walking into a small village! I've already considered doing my next tv production there! Everybody should hear about them!!!
I have watched the Co-op grow from the 70's It's amazing. Great selections and great customer service.
The Cambridge Harvest was the only place worth lunching at when I worked at MIT/LIGO. The food is delicious as well as healthy, and I met many amazing people there as well.
I love that they have a large variety of products not found in huge chain stores. Friendly service with a good cause our environment!
Lots of local, organic options and always exploring new ways to contribute to building sustainable food systems.
A fine range of products, including a large selection of fair trade and organic items.
Harvest is a part of the community. They have produce from local farms in season. They're always looking for new, interesting products and support local people.
I have been a member of the Harvest Co-operative Supermarkets, in its various iterations, for more than 20 years, and the more I know about food, food production, and the Co-op, the more I love the Co-op. One of their philosophies is "Food for people, not profit," and I genuinely believe that, as a result, I and my family are healthier than we would be if we were not members of the Co-op. Also, one of the principles of co-operative organizations is that education is a crucial and integral part of the organization and the work that is carried out. I learn a great deal every day from the co-op and not only appalling health statistics. In addition to those, I learn healthful practices, principles and information. Finally, I have learned over time that there really is a difference, however subtle, between an organization of which one is a member and therefore an owner or one who has a very vested interest, and an organization in which one is only a customer or a consumer.
Harvest Food Co-op has an excellent selection and supports the local community. What more could you want?
They are a co-op which is great and they have some of everything! I am happy to be a member and have bought a gift membership for my niece!
I think Harvest Co-op Market is the best because it is always trying to get the best organic and natural products at a price that is affordable to the income sensitive community. Also, being a co-op it is owed by the community and it is always sensitive to its members and costumers' needs and wants. They also promote local farmer products.
Community owned, supporting local and organic farmers, and the only co-op in the Boston area
Harvest has so many yummy local products - and its shoppers and staff are the owners! No fear of selling out!
Fresh produce, energy bars for post-runs, and other tasty stuff. Eco-friendly people.
I like especially their bulk bins for many hard to find products. The bulk items which may be found in other stores are much cheaper at Harvest. I like that the give a discount to senior citizens and that they encourage people to bring a bag. I like very much the friendly helpful attitude of the workers.
Great selection of organic and local produce. Friendly & helpful staff. Supporting a co-op.
Harvest is consistent. You can always get fresh, organic, locally grown, beautiful quality greens and veggies. Locally grown fruit in season is so superior to anything trucked from a great distance, and often, Harvest is the only source nearby. In the off season, Harvest always has a broad selection of organic and conventional fruits - anything you could want. It's consistent, dependable!
Harvest has been the place for fresh, local organic produce for over twenty years.
I love Harvest Coop in Jamaica Plain. It is so close that I do most of my shopping just walking there! It is so convenient to have a grocery so close and with great options for fresh and local produce.
There is nice choice of organic and conventional produce. There is also good choice of usual and unusual fruits and vegetables.
The Harvest is one of the jewels of Jamaica Plain. I don't know what I would do without it. Love their produce and other products, too.
The produce is very fresh and constantly attended to. The staff are very friendly and helpful.
Harvest Co-op Market satisfies my need for supporting organic produce, and they have the best bulk items and spices around.
I go to the Harvest Coop Market in JP. I love the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff!
Harvest is a good place to find items that you can't always get in other stores. And the fact that it's a collectively-run store is a major plus!
Harvest not only has the best variety of conventional and organic produce, the people who work there are very friendly and can always help you out. So are the people who shop there!
We love the variety of good, healthy foods and the carefulness and hospitality of all the staff at Harvest.
The recent upgrade separates organic from conventional in a simple and very convenient and visual way, like venturing into two separate territories.
The co-op is providing outstanding groceries including local produce to the Greater Boston community.
Harvest Coop is a treasure! For anyone who believes the economy is for all people instead of just big corporations, coops are the way to go. And Harvest's produce is the best around.
Harvest produce is always fresh and I love that it has both organic and conventional produce. The sales make it very reasonable.
harvest is an exceptional market. their bulk food section is excellent. they take their role in the community very seriously. cambridge needs more co-ops.
