We are an organization dedicated to developing new work for the theatre by energetically supporting those who create that work. Theatre is a collaborative art form. Unfortunately, we often expect playwrights to develop their plays alone, and to make decisions about revising their work by reading it on the page. Yet a play is not meant to be read, but performed. And a playwright, in order to see and hear what they have so far, has to work with actors and a director, and then see and hear it with an audience. Armed with that experience the playwright can then confidently make revisions that more fully realize their play's potential.
