Welcome to Ponce’s Mexican Restaurant where you can find out everything and anything you wanted to know about us!! Ponce’s serves “No Nonsense” Mexican Food. Our food fare, considered Authentic Mexican Food wit a bit of Tex-Mex flavor, is served with “No-Frills.” From our traditional enchiladas, tacos, and burritos to our family specialties, you’d better be hungry when you dine with us! Ponce’s opened its doors in September of 1969 by Ponce Sr. In the beginning, the business was known only to the locals of Kensington, but over the years Ponce’s has become a staple eatery in the San Diego area. With Ponce Sr. retiring in 2002, he passed the torch to 2 of his kids: Ponce Jr. & Rocio. The tradition is carried with the same flavors that has kept Ponce’s going for over 30 years but now with a new ambience and energy.

Try the number 8--three enchiladas. The beans taste homemade and the Margaritas are awesome!
I have been eating at Ponce's since it opened. It is the best! I eat there at least once a week and have brought all my friends there, and they now go there also. The service is quick, the hot carrots and peppers are not too hot, and the food is fresh. They know the regulars and what they like.
By far the best meal across all San Diego county. Great value, and great atmosphere! Why would you even think about going anywhere else?
this is real Mexican food, authentic, and the best Cadillac margaritas.
I have been going to Ponce's 30+ years and even through the years the food has not changed it reminds me of my grandmother. They use the freshest ingredients and can I just say I cannot get enough of the beans. On weekend night, its the place to be.
