In the ancient Sanskrit language "Mayur" means peacock - the National Bird of India We showoff like a peacock, by preparing the finest dishes from India using the finest ingredients and presenting them in a royal fashion. We opened our doors for the first time in August 1977. We were Initially located the corner of NW 21st and Kearney and operated there for 10 years. In 1986 we moved to 852 SW21st Ave. This present location is a magnificently restored historic mansion overlooking the city of Portland.
