Great things take time. So, many years ago PizzaPapalis began a search to discover a true pizza masterpiece. They looked in the Midwest and on both coasts and uncovered a number of excellent pizzas - but they didn't feel that any of them went far enough with their ingredients. Well, PizzaPapalis does, in every pizza they bake. In fact, there are many tasty deep dish style pizzas - especially in Chicago - but there is only one PizzaPapalis® pizza, made Chicago style!

Okay, so I was going to vote for another place I like to go to. However, this pizza truely is the best. The layers and layers of cheese all melted together is just heavenly. I used to celebrate the end of finals with my friends here and it is defenately worth the longish time to bake! You can't rush perfection.

The pizza is the best. Nothing compares. The help is arrogant and rude (especially in Bloomfield Hills location), but the pizza is well worth it in having to deal with them.

This place is the "TOPS" when it comes to Deep Dish Pizza. If you've never tried it, you haven't had the best ! Way better than Buddy's !

I am not a pizza eater, but this is better than pizza. The seafood pizza is out of this world. And they use fresh seafood, not imitation. The sauce is thick and tangy. Teat yourself to one today!

If you like Chicago style Pizza, this is the best pizza in Metro Detroit by far. You will have to wait for it but it is well worth the wait!

If you're looking for chicago deep dish in detroit, there's no better place to get it! Great atmosphere in the Greektown location, and speedy service at the Dearborn location!

Absolutely nothing like it anywhere! The sauce makes it, and if you have the chance to visit the downtown Detroit location, the atmosphere is as urban energetic cool as it gets! In terms of its thickness, it's the closest pie to lasagna I've had and the only pizza I'd fly home to eat! Also the owners, the Sheena brothers are top notch citizens, they donated pies at cost for a charitable cause I ran for many years. It was like feeding my volunteer troops Pizzapapalis on a LittleC budget!!! Thanks guys, and keep up the excellent work! NOTE: I bet if Buddy's ranking ends up higher it is due to the higher cost of Pizzapapalis, the longer wait, because they're really cooking a pie at PizzaP and the greater number of locations for the suburban folks! Buddy's is good, no doubt, but next to Pizzapapalis, as one friend of mine put it, "it's like microwave!" Well said. Bon Appétit.

Living with a "South Side Chicago Pizza Snob", we can NEVER go anywhere other than Pizza Papalis, as he says it's the nearest thing, to Chicago, that he can find, in Detroit.
