Pizza Port was established in March of 1987 when we started making pizzas in our present location in Solana Beach! We started brewing beer as a hobby and as we began brewing more than we could leisurely drink, we really wanted to share some of the incredible brews that we created for fun with our customers too. We installed a 7 barrel brewery and served our first handcrafted beer brewed on the premises in October of 1992.

I did not even like beer, but Pizza Port changed my mind. Chronic rocks with wings and pizza.
I am surprised that Pizza Port is in the Beer Selection category. It has the best pizza in town (medium thick crust so you know where I stand). Their beer selection is great and changes. Of course they brew their own on site, plus their own Lost Abbey Ales and a variety of guest beers. The only possible negative that I can give them is that if you are just looking for something low flavor to quench your thirst like Coors Light (I am drinking one now - it has its place), they don't have it. So their problem is that everything they serve has flavor. Not bad.
Pizza Port is the only way to go for beer and pizza. It's a busy place that's great for meeting others. Friendly environment and great food.
The Kronic is my favorite beer. My kids and I love the beer buddies and the pizza is the best I ever have had. It's always really busy so you have to plan out your time to go. We sat outside once but that was aweful cause the smokers go out there. But if your lucky enough to get a spot inside you will not be disappointed. Hope they win!
Pizza is great, people are friendly, ...and well the beer is the best. Friday is the day to be there when the smell of hops is everywhere!
Well, best small brewpub in America - two years in a row. That pretty much says it all. Pizza Port is a local treasure. The only shame is that more San Diegans are not aware of it.
