We had the 5 course wine dinner last Sat. night. The food. wine pairings and the Service was outstanding. Be a bit of a wine snob and a lover of fine food I thought the pairings that Joseph put together were an absolute dream. His skills in the kitchen are unmatched in the area and he would give most five stars a run for the roses.

The atmosphere was comfortable and the staff were very pleasant and helpful. The food was good and reasonably priced. I would recommend eating here to anyone.

The freshest fish ever for an inland resturant On the deck or inside= great atmosphere. Mt. Dora's a cool town to visit too.

Having friends in for a visit to Florida? Don't be a tightwad! Take them here, not Sonny's BBQ. Key Lime Pie, fresh seafood, elegant yet comfortable surroundings plus a great view. Come here, enjoy, you will have a good time and impress your friends with your good taste. Terry Schill

where can i begin?...the food is outstanding as well as the service(stevie made us feel like we were right at home) the flaming banana foster was most def. my favorite! i enjoyed a fantasitc bottle of wine suggested by wine sommelier joshua jungferman and chef joseph did an amazing job on the grilled grouper with mango slasa. shane herron(manager) was a big help as well by making sure everything was going just right. anney winters has done such a wondeful job with this restaurant...she has an amazing crew and should be very grateful. the patio is another fab place to be with the tiki bar set up rigt out front the view of the lake is wonderful. i am very pleased.pisces rising is a remarkable fine dining experience that everyone should enjoy!

If you are looking for a good time, great food, and friendly people, this is the place for you. Pisces Rising offers a fine dine experience with a small town atmosphere. Regulars are greeted like a member of the family and newcomers are made to feel right a home. The food is fantastic and you should always make room for dessert. They have a great wine selection and live music on the weekends. And, did I mentioned the view of Lake Dora.

I have been going to Pisces Rising for the last six years. This is a great place to relax and enjoy a great view of the Lake. The food is great and the staff is very friendly. I am sorry that jnprk233 is poor customer. People like him should never go out to eat. Everyone else that have voted in this site had great things to say about this place.

I have been a Pisces Rising patron for approximately five years and have always enjoyed the outside atmosphere the most, the fall sunsets are the best in central Florida. The inside is just enjoyable if you do not like the outdoors. The menu is exceptional, the staff is professional, and the scenery is great, oh, don't miss the live weekend entertainment Welcome to Pisces's Rising, CU there. JPM!

My wife and I have lived and worked on the waters of the Atlantic Ocean for over thirty plus years. 22 of those years in The Florida Keys. We have eaten some of the finest seadfood available around the globe. Until we accidentally discovered Pisces Rising we could not find superbly prepared seafood, excellant service and atmosphere consistantly in any single establishment. I would say this is a direct reflection on the owners, and management. If there were a higher rating than five stars, I would most certainly place checks in them all.

Fabulous view, wonderful proprietors and staff, great Key-West style outdoor deck, some of my favorites for food - Jambalaya (yum) and all the seafood - and inventive and encompassing wine list. Love the artwork and many different-mood indoor dining areas. A must when in the Orlando area!

Wonderful food, great ambiance. The deck overlooking the Lake is absolutely THE place to enjoy a beautiful sunset with a cocktail while dancing...(or just listening, if you're like me) to the live weekend entertainment.

very knowledgeable. And excellent managers. I dined there monday june 16th

Pisces Rising is Mount Dora's hidden waterfront dining treasure. "Key West Style" restaurant with seafood dishes such as Cuban Snapper or Blackened Mahi....yum! Excellent steaks are also available. Thursday thru Sunday live music on the deck featuring some of Orlando's best entertainers. The expansive deck overlooking Lake Dora is the place to come for happy hour on M-F from 4 to 7PM. Wind down with a Mohito or homemade Sangria.... This is the place to come.

Pisces Rising is unique. Every effort has been made to provide something from the heart from the proprietor and the incredible staff of this establishment. You might find Mrs. Winters adding another special touch to the beautiful decor of the inside and also the outside deck of the house. Chef Joseph Rosselli is there most nights to oversee each dish, the wine manager Joshua Jungferman is meticulous in his selection, choosing wines that mean something to him, and Diane Brewer, another manager, she's consistently there to provide the utmost in hospitable assistance and follow through gracefully with all of the restaurant's special large party events. Not only that, the bartenders make specialty cocktails, the servers cook desserts table side, and they take you on tours of the historic home in which you dine! The people here go to the extreme to show you what Pisces Rising is all about. How amazing.

Pisces Rising is not simply a great seafood restaurant, beside the incredible Grouper Garnier which happens to be my favorite, it's an experience unlike any other. The staff is comforting and welcoming, they remember your name. The ambiance is majestic, nowhere else in central florida can you catch the incredible sunsets over the lake, or dine in the private living room of an historic home. You should come and see the hand tiled floors! Mesmerising and intimate...Pisces Rising is priceless.

Outstanding fresh fish in taste and presentation. The servers go out of their way to make your dinner enjoyable from soup to flaming desserts! Nice view of the lake--too bad it rained the day we were there or it would have been a beautiful sunset over the lake. Prices are a bit high but the food and service were well worth it, especially for our special occasion (35th wedding anniversary). Thanks to Howard at the Magnolia Bed & Breakfast for the recommendation!

We were a party of four. Two of us had the four tails with the wine pairing and it was fabulous. The steak was so tender you could cut it with a fork. The paella was delicious as well.
