Over twenty-five years have passed since Rick and Steve Bellman, with their father Sonny, took ownership of Paul's of Chevy Chase, a DC institution in and of itself since 1951. Stop by for a visit to understand the brothers' commitment to the community and their desire to have every last customer return home with the perfect bottle of wine.

Paul's carries a great selection of wines at very good prices. They are extremely helpful in selecting wines for you no matter how much you want to spend. Service is key with them and they remember all customers no matter what they spend.

The personal service is the best! The quality, variety and quick to stock something if they are out of a product or if you have a special request is fantastic. They have a price mark for everyone and of good quality. It is a great neighborhood store that serves several neighborhoods! I've been going to Paul's since I moved here almost twenty years and hope they stay around even longer. Thanks to a wonderful family! There is nothing out there they can't find.

They present a very good weekly newsletter with very good specials and explicit descriptions of the wines they are offering. Furthermore, they are really courteous and provide you with excellent service when you go to the store.

Experienced and friendly staff with an extensive selections of fine wines that are reasonably priced. I have gone there for many years when I am having a big occasion and need help and they have not let me down.

Simply put, I have had the best recommendations for wines of value and premium wines from Paul's of any wine shop anywhere! The selection available is spot on, the shopping experience is downright fun, and the prices and discounts are very competitive.

Paul's has a great group of knowledgeable, helpful and friendly staff combined with a fantastic selection of wines (and spirits and beer). Weekly tastings, which are free, allow one to purchase wine that suits their palette rather than hoping that the bottle with the pretty label will taste good. Beginners and connoisseurs can find what they want at Paul's.

Contacted them about a specific new Tequila I saw reviewed on a different website. They put me on hold to check. When they came back they told me that they didn't have any in stock, but that a bottle would be available for me in four days. What great service!!!

Personal, very friendly service. Very knowledgeable about wines. Great selection. Friday tastings are fun and informative. Will carry your purchase to the car. Always have time to help you pick out wines. Convenient parking. It just doesn't get any better than this. It's shopping at the Mom and Pop at the corner all over again!!!!

I love wine but I don't speak it as a second language, and also I'm borderline cheap - so I just go to Pauls, give 'em a budget and a nontechnical description of what I like, and take what they give me. I've used this system for years, and I always get good wine and good value, both for my usual "house wine" purchases and for occasional splurges.

Paul's goes the extra mile to make a visit there special. New wines routinely are featured and their weekly newsletter and wine tasting are fun and fantastic. Paul's is a real, old fashioned neighborhood wine store.

Knowledgable and pleasant staff, and great deals on wines that you get the opportunity to taste before you buy. Some places open a few bottles now and then but Paul's exposes you to 8 or 10 new wines a week that one might never otherwise try.

Weekly Free wine tastings and frequent champagne tastings (for those of us that love bubbly!). Even though these tastings are free, they include some very expensive wines/champagnes for us to experience. Great weekly specials and newsletter. Excellent "wine dinners" at local restaurants by great chefs with great wines! The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. Overall, an excellent place to learn about wines.
