Pastries by Ellen is a nice little bakery and pastry shop -- step inside and you'll discover that Pastries by Ellen is a wonderful little gem of a restaurant, too, with seating for about 30 customers. Chef George Kalergis, husband of pastry chef Ellen Meyer-Kalergis, serves up everything from home-made granola parfait with yogurt and berries to a wide array of first-rate egg dishes. Green Eggs & Ham may show up on other menus, but this version is inspired: fluffy scrambled eggs cooked with just the right amount of basil pesto, diced fresh tomatoes and sweet onions, served with sides of ham, home fries and toast. Among the regular omelets, the Southwestern loaded with bacon, salsa, scallions, Pepper Jack cheese, avocado and sour cream is popular, but the creative daily specials are hard to pass up. When you arrive, look for a menu at the cash register and order there; they'll bring your food to your table. Coffee is self-serve. This is a friendly, low-key place and so are its prices. The chefs met while attending the Culinary Institute of America, and their skills show in everything they make.

Ellen's has the best of everything! Delicious sandwiches and pastries! My daughter's new favorite is the yogurt parfait and a cookie for the road.

Our family loves Pastries by Ellen! My three children love the cookies, muffins, scones and other yummy desserts! Ellen and George are the most personable, professional and creative people I know. I can't get enough of all their tasty treats.
When ever I am feeling blue, down, all alone without family, ill and in need of food, friends, family, I make my way to Ellen's. Also, when family visit or my clients have the time I take them to Ellen's for fresh cooked meals. It is my invitation to the closest thing to a European Cafe that I have experienced. And it is right in my own back yard! My very best wishes to Chef Geo and Chef Ellen. I usually do not leave without a Ginger Chew for later.

They have not only the greatest pastries but also the best home made freshest breakfast.
This 'pastry shop' is much more than you'd think. George & Ellen provide wonderful sandwiches on freshly baked bread, very generous and delicious breakfasts, and the pastries are heavenly and difficult to resist.
Ellen & George have created some of the best pastries I've ever had. To name a few, the 'Mary Jane' cinnamon roll is one of my favorites with a flaky cinnamon sweetness, which is perfection. Another is their 'Strawberry cheese cake baton', a puff baton with the perfect amount of cream cheese filling and strawberries. These pastries are very addictive! I suggest trying something new each time you visit.
Everything on the menu is delicious.
Besides pastries and desserts that are "out of-this-world", they have sandwiches and salads thet are outstanding! I eat there at least 3 times a week. They are friendly, and quick...the BEST!
