The Orlando Youth Theatre is dedicated to developing the creative talents of young people in Central Florida through educational programs and quality productions. The Orlando Youth Theatre was established in 1998 to provide a quality theatrical educational program for young performers in Central Florida. In just over a year, OYT developed Orlando Kids on Stage! with performances for Walt Disney World, Universal Studios, Greater Orlando Chamber of Commerce and the Orlando Magic; the Orlando Youth Theatre with performances at the Orlando International Fringe Festival, the Florida Theatre Conference. OYT’s Academy offers classes in musical theatre and summer camps. The Orlando Youth Theatre & Academy is dedicated to providing quality theatre opportunities for young people in Central Florida. The Orlando Youth Theatre & Academy is under the direction of Tim Hanes and is the leading educational theatre program in Central Florida. Orlando Youth Theatre & Academy offers training and performance opportunities for students ages 4-18.

Orlando Youth Theater may be small, but the young actors there have HUGE talent. Under the guiding inspiration of director Tim Hanes, each child or teen is encouraged to discover new talents within themselves which they can then share on stage. Musical production assistance by Jason Whitehead is outstanding and my daughter has blossomed after only two months with OYT. The theater is conveniently located next to Bob Carr auditorium. If your teen or child likes to act, check this place out.
