They offer great educational program for Homeschooler. Their dedicated stuffs are wonderful! Very family oriented and not overwhelming huge museum. Loved the Norman Rockwell exhibit.
Once you are a member, you become aware of all the social & educational opportunities the museum offers. 1st Thursday is the greatest!
I fell in love with this museum when I first visited in November, 2000, when I moved here from Connecticut. I immediately became a member, volunteered in the museum shop and for Festival of Trees, and have been a part time employee since 2002. It has the warmest and friendliest, as well as knowledgeable staff anywhere. It is always a pleasure to be there.
An accessible and engaging museum with a broad range of shows and activities, for all interests, tastes, and ages. Very positive contribution to Central Florida's quality of life.
I love the museums location. You hardly feel you are in a city. The motorcycle exhibit last year was great. This is a great community resource for people of all ages. Way to go OMA.
The Orlando Museum of Art is a world class museum which showcases Internationally known artists as well as promoting local Art . It has also acquired a wonderful collection of Mayan Art and holds regular exhibitions of prominent works.
The Museum has and does a wonderful service for the community in bringing fabulous art from all over the world to Central Florida and brings art to the children and young people of our community through the various programs and camps.
It is a great location for the community to come together to explore the fantastic world of art. Families are able to spend quality time together inspiring their creativity and learning about the world around them.
The Orlando Museum of Art is the best museum in Central Florida. The museum's exhibits appeal to the masses.
Check out the FESTIVAL OF TREES at OMA coming November 10 - 18! It is a wonderful community event.
I find the Orlando Museum of Art a delightful environment in which to relax and take in the beauty of the art .
I am new in town and have found the staff helpful, the volunteers remarkable, and the offerings good for the size of museum.
OMA has something for everyone-children, art devotees and people just wanting to broaden their horizons and knowledge.
My favorite place to visit - where I can stimulate my vision, nurtue my soul, educate my grandchildren, mingle and meet new people while enjoying social events at Ist Thursdays and travel to new places with like minded people. The Orlando Museum of Art is the best!
The Orlando Museum has the best exhibits, great volunteer team and great art assets.
They began as an educational facility, morphed into a full fledged creative museum and still adhere to their educational mission
Wonderful permanent and visiting exhibits with a world-wide flavor. Terrific and convenient facility. Many high quality art education programs for children and adults.
Best World Class Art Exhibitions in Central Florida; Council of 101 produces the best special events-Annual -Festival of Trees and Annual Antiques Show and Sale. Also, best art related interest groups, collecting circles and outreach art informational forums.
As an artist I enjoy participating in the First Thursdays Events at the Orlando Museum of Art. There is music, art, great food and lots of people. It is one of those events that you should not miss. As a bonus some artists are selected to have a solo exhibition in the Founders Gallery Alcove, and this August I have been chosen to show my artwork. So see you there on Thursday August 2 for the opening and another entertaining and enlightening First Thursdays event.
The employees are always so kind. They welcome you in the minute you step into the building. They also have the most amazing art collection.
I loved the Gee's Bend Quilts exhibit, and on that note became a member. Hope to see more wonderful exhibits in the future. I am from the Northwest and Seattle Art Museum is high on my list.
The staff at OMA is amazing. Their commitment to the arts and the community can be seen in the selection and arrangement of the exhibits along with their enthusiasm as they give verbal presentation of an exhibit.
We should be proud of our museum. They have programs for all ages and all levels of interest.
Amazing exhibits, fantastic "Festival of Trees", great programs for children and for docent/art history. If it had a couple fine art courses offered for adults, and a Starbucks Kiosk set up in the Lobby Entrance with a few cafe tables, it would be perfect. It comes pretty close to perfection.
I love the size of the Museum. It doesn't matter what the exhibit is, you can always see all of it.
The exhibits are always well thought out and presented.
I'm originally from New York and have had the opportunity to experience many world class museums while I was living there. The Orlando Museum of Art compares very favorably to some of the better New York art museums! The Orlando Museum of Art features many great exhibits during the year. A wide variety of art styles, schools and mediums are represented and new exhibits are often featured at the monthly get-togethers at the museum's 1st Thursdays. At this monthly event there is also great food from different restaurants. One month may be Cuban, the next Vegetarian cuisine. Each month is a different culinary adventure! A great place to meet many wonderful people of all ages and to experience many different varieties of art. The exhibits are not always just for passive observation, some of the exhibits require interaction which is a great way to truly experience art! Festival of Trees in November is an absolutely wonderful event as well and really gets you in the holiday spirit! There are also many volunteer opportunities that can help connect people to their community in a meaningful way. If you haven't been to the museum yet, you have got to check it out! See you there.
Very good collection, for a relatively young museum in a city which has developed in the last 50 years. Pleasant surroundings, excellent traveling exhibitions and many good social events. An excellent place to belong to sociable collecting groups for a reasonable annual fees that goes 100% to new art acquisitions. Join, have fun, meet lots of people with all levels of art knowledge, get an education!
Connects events and shows to the performing arts, peaceful environment, eclectic, something for everyone
