Consistently good wines, true-to-type Italian varietals and very nice zinfandel. Love the Frivolo, too. Friendly staff and a tasting room that is welcoming and not slick.

Jim and Suzy Gullette have great passion for the wines they produce and make an impressive number of premium block designated Sangioveses. The subtle differences soils, terrain and orientation to sun exposure are a delight to experience. They are a premier producer of this varietal within the US that is more difficult to grow than most other grapes. They also produce Zin from the oldest vines in California, a killer Barbera, Muscato and Grappa. To top it off, they have one of the original Doggie Diner dog heads, nicely restored, in their parking lot and an awsome Bocce ball court!

Their Sangioveses can blow your socks off.
I brought one bottle of Marmellata together
with an Italian Brunello 3 times more expensive
at a blind tasting party run by a French friend,
and everyone thought the Noceto was the Italian
Brunello! The best kept secret in Amador,
and I hope it stays that way!

You think you're back in Tuscany when you taste their delicious sangioveses. These lovely, complicated wines are way better then the ones often offered in many of SF-area's top restaurants.

The people at Vino Noceto have been committed to Sangiovese for man years. This variety is hard to find in California and Vino Noceto does an excellent job of producing not one, but many block selections. In addition to the awesome Sangiovese their Barbera and Zinfandel are some of the best of the region in my opinion.

No one makes a more complete Sangiovese than these guys at Noceto.
If you do not know what Sangiovese is I highly recommend you take a drive to their tasting room and discover what we "BIg Nuts" have known for about 15 years!! Oh and the staff is pretty awesome too!!
