Mother Anna's Restaurant has been serving fine Italian cuisine in the North End for over sixty years. Back when there was only a handful of restaurants in the North End, Mother Anna's was a favorite of many of the local politicians including a congressman named John F. Kennedy. People would come from all over to enjoy her home style cooking, some never even looking at a menu. Mother Anna had a way about her that made everyone feel at home. Her style of cooking was passed on to her son Harry who opened La Casa Mia, in Raynham and her daughter Felicia, who owned Felicia's on Richmond St. for many years, until recently passing away.

I am a concierge at the Boston Park Plaza, and after sending numerous amounts of guest to this restaurant, Micheal and Alan who are the owners have catered to Boston's Guest with an entertaining style all of there own. The restaurant sits over looking Boston after The Big Dig construction got rid of the highway. They have umbrella seating outside that seats about 30 to 40 people. The wait staff is professional and smiley. After this winter they are excited about the new scenery they add to Little Italy as well as some good weather. They are the beginning of a very historical part of Boston as well as the oldest restaurant in the North End. I find them to always be accommodating and friendly. The concierge are pleased to recommend Mother Anna's for there friendly service and great food. I am from East Boston and the North End. I have been a faithful customer and my parents went to Mother Anna's since the early 50's.

Wonderful family-owned and run restaurant. One of the few North End restaurants where you can get spaghetti and meatballs or lobster ravioli.
