Chef Morimoto, born and raised in Hiroshima, Japan, learned the art of sushi and traditional Kriseki cuisine by training under several of his country's esteem master chefs. After being the chef-owner of a restaurant in Japan for five years, Chef Morimoto moved to New York to explore western cooking styles. Fifteen years later, he has become well known for his unsurpassed culinary talent. Among Chef Morimoto's passions is his collection of traditional japanese culinary tools. Recently, Ralph Lauren designed his new chef wear.

food + atmosphere. you can't go wrong.
Excellent service and food, and wow do you pay for it $$$$$
Besides its sushi, I highly recommend its tuna carpaccio and their to die for chocolate pot dessert!
Morimoto's sushi bar is unsurpassed for quality, and surprisingly economical considering the upscale nature of the rest of the restaurant.
The best, but I didn't expect anything else.....He's the Iron Chef!!!!
The iron chef was in the kitchen when I was there... and the seafood is the freshest I've ever had.
The sushi is fresh the service is excellent
NO ONE has fresher seafood in town! They are the only establishment that serves sushi ans sashimi that melts in your mouths. Not to mention their Omokase is out of this WORLD!
