Arsalan and Arezo In 1991, Arsalan and Arezo Hafezi opened the first Modern Salon & Spa in Colwick Towers. Arezo, the salon's Artistic Creative Director, studied with beauty luminaries such as Vidal Sasson and Toni and Guy, as well as a number of the world's most renowned hair academics throughout Europe and the AVEDA Institute here in the United States. Arezo and husband Arsalan combined their expertise with a passion for customer service in making the Colwick Towers a success. Business expanded, and the Hafezis moved the salon to a new home on East Boulevard. This location gave the Hafezis a chance to create a luxurious European salon and spa in the heart of Charlotte, pampering clients with attention and expertise unmatched by the competition. In the years since, Modern Salon & Spa has opened locations in Phillips Place, Hearst Tower, Birkdale Village, Ballantyne Village and a Corporate Office and Call Center.
