The Mennello Museum of American Art endeavors to preserve, exhibit, and interpret the Museum's outstanding permanent collection of paintings by Earl Cunningham (1893-1977). The Museum's Cunningham collection was donated by collectors Marilyn and Michael Mennello of Winter Park, Florida, and was opened to the public on November 22, 1998. The Museum also seeks to enrich the public through special exhibitions, publications, and programs that celebrate outstanding traditional and contemporary Amercian artists.

What a variety of American art the Mennello offers. The works of so many famous artists are on display at the exhibits. Also, I always enjoy revisiting permanent collections on display. My recent favorite is Cassett To Wyeth. I consider myself fortunate this fine museum is located so close to my home.
Mennello was not what I expected at all. I enjoyed all the art work, and while I was there felt at great peace with the way the museum was set up. The museum is a beautiful part of Orlando, which is probably not realized yet.
The Mennello Museum is a Central Florida treasure growing in national prominence as evidenced by the museum's exhibit "Earl Cunningham's America" that will be featured at the Smithsonian American Art Museum August 10 - November 4 in Washington D.C.
