Melody Record Shop has been serving the Washington, DC area since 1977. We offer our customers over 200,000 CDs and DVDs. We can special order anything we don't have in stock (as long as it is available to us). We carry a large selection of pop, rock, classical, indie, international, Broadway shows, blues, folk, and more.

The originality and history of the store. A store that really understands music as some of the people who work there graduated school by studying music. It has almost anything you want and if not they will do anything to get it for you. The people who work there really help customers and are really kind and warm hearted

Best Jazz selection in the city, special orders are no hassle whatsoever, and the new release section always turns me on to something I didn't already know about. Cool vibe, great location, cool store!

There is no better customer service, music selection and shopping atmosphere than at Melody Records. You can find every type of music imaginable and they gladly order anything your heart desires that is not on the shelf. Customer's tastes and favorites are remembered by the staff, who are available to help you search and are willing to listen to you hum something you want to find, even when you cannot carry a tune or recall a title. It's a difficult store to leave.
