* Incorporated as a non-profit educational/cultural organization in 1977. Presented new works – created right here at the museum–by over 100 artists from Pittsburgh, the United States, Canada, Europe and Japan. * Renovated seven properties in our diverse community to exhibition galleries, an artist created garden, rental housing, office spaces and the artist residences. * Established an education program that emphasizes the creative process and its positive erffect on problem-solving in daily life and other academic areas. * Maintain a permanent collection of 13 works by Winnifred Lutz, Rolf Julius, Jene Highstein, William Anastasi, Mary Carlisle, Melissa Goldstein, Sandrine Sheon, James Turrell, Yayoi Kusama, Bill Woodrow, Monica Bock, Cathy Lynn Gasser, Catherine Smith and Allan Wexler.
