Mass Ave Stumble
Created by: jawalker33
Back in the day, this Thursday night pub crawl would have made Friday's at the office a lot less fun...In between Harvard Square and Central Square, we used to try to end the evening with dancing and naked poker machines at the Cantab. Unfortunately, we usually wound up retracing our steps to finish the morning off with scorpion bowls and plastic monkeys at the Hong Kong. Those were the days. Who's in for a trip down glory road -- Mass Ave?

The Garden at the Cellar

991 Massachusetts Ave
Cambridge, MA 02138
Tel: (617) 230-5880
The Cellar - as it is known by those who visit frequently is downstairs and used to be a smoke-filled basement. It is now a lot nicer. Start here around 9 pm. Order one of their great European beers on tap. Make sure you tell the bartender your name. He'll remember it -- one of the best bartenders in Boston.

The Plough & Stars
Head here after the Cellar and continue on with the beer drinking. Tight quarters, so you won't stay long, but it's a great pit stop on the way to People's Republik.

People's Republik
Short walk from The Plough, so you'll have just enough fresh air to fire up your energy for a game of darts. Bar is much larger than The Plough so you can hang here and switch to the hard stuff.

Cantab Lounge
Little Joe Cook and a bunch of other legendary live music make this a great way to shake off the booze. I'd stay away from the hard alcohol here. Work the plastic bottled Bud Lights. Can't have'm breaking on the dance floor.

Hong Kong
The picture says it all. That's a bowl that will make the cab ride home too long.
