great salon, Ellen knows her stuff, discussed the design and got to know me before the scissors even came out. Relaxing atmosphere too. :) good place.

Rave, rave, rave...oh, how can I rave? Scott Smith and his team represent the ideal synergy between a high-level, knowledgable salon experience and the young, energetic, creative identity of today. No joke--I 'm a client and have referred so many happy friends that I'm now officially a walking billboard! I also love that they give you MaryJane candy and wine every time you come in!

The staff at Maryjane is flexible, open, and always friendly, and so willing to serve. I have been getting my haircut w/Ellen for over a year, and can always trust her with my hair style, she always provides insight into what would look good, she is easy to talk to, and very welcoming.

MaryJane's is a great experience! The staff are all friendly; Scott's a genius; and the pampering is a wonderful treat. I highly recommend the salon.

I have been going to maryjane Salon and getting my hair cut by Ellen for about 8 months now and every visit is a special treat! I am always offered, water, coffee, tea, or a glass of wine. The ambiance of the salon is very calming. I look forward to the shoulder, neck and head massage that precedes the haircut. I am always extremely happy with my haircut, though I never really get that much cut off! Ellen is a wonderful designer and often chats with me about restaurants and activities to try in San Diego. I love this salon and look forward to going to an appointment this evening! :)

I don't call *maryjane* my "happy place" for nothing. It truly is one of my favorite places to go. I look forward to being pampered, having a glass of wine with great friends, oh, and getting the best cut and color in town. I have been with Scotty for about 13 years (?!) and I can't say enough great things about him and his team (props to Alex!). Scotty is an artist when it comes to hair. I don't know how he does it, but hair just behaves when he touches it, or simply comes near it! I jokingly call him the "hair whisperer", but it's true! The best thing about everyone at the salon is that they listen to their clients and do their best to make them happy. If you're looking for a new salon, I highly recommend you make this one of your "happy places" too!

I really enjoy going to the maryjane salon to feel relaxed and pampered. From the environment to the expert technicians, from the massage to the great products offered, I alway look forward to this special time in my busy schedule, and always leave feeling beautiful with hair I can manage myself.

If you are looking for a great hair salon with friendly staff and incredibly talented hair and color stylists, then Maryjane Salon is your place. I have been getting my hair done here for over 4 years, and would highly recommend. Everyone is so friendly and professional, and it has a nice, casual atmosphere that is very comfortable. It rates an A+ from me!

Not only do they do a fabulous job with my hair, but they are global in their thinking. They hosted an event for the Amy Biehl Foundation that had nothing to do with hair at all! But was about acceptance of other cultures and beliefs. Scott, the owner, has been a great partner to me in business and personal matters. And he humors me with great conversations about football and baseball!

I have been going to this salon for a couple years now and love every experience I have. It is nice that before your hair is cut Scott speaks with the colorist to convey his vision to ensure the cut and the color compliment each other as well as you. Everyone in there also take the time to get to not only know you as a person, but remember you the next time you come in, even if it is 6 months later! I am extremely picky and cautious about my hair as I work in a very professional environment and am not very daring, but it only took my going to MaryJane one time before I felt confident to say "whatever you wish" to Scott and whoever is coloring my hair! From the short massage and wine or iced tea when you first get there to the huge smile time after time I always have a memorable experience and for months to come am complimented on my hair looking so good!
