The Lizard Lounge and Cambridge Common are both located at 1667 Massachusetts Avenue. Cambridge Common serves up lunch and dinner specials. The restaurant has great vegetarian cuisine, but also specializes in burgers and chicken dishes. Lizard Lounge is known for always booking great local talent and hosting slam poetry and other cool evening events. There are free gigs, but there is also a cover for many shows. Be sure to call ahead or visit the schedule online.

Intimate setting, creative bookings.
The LL is intimate & cozy - has great staff, drink selection and a decent sound system for a room that size.
The location, funky but elegant atmosphere, the people (bartenders remember you and your drink of choice), and most of all the bands. Billy Beard is the best booking agent, culling from a cross section of soul, blues, rock, country and art bands to give us an eclectic and friendly place to hang and hear music.
