Landlord Jim’s is a downtown San Diego fixture. We are family owned & operated by Virginia, Sara & Liz of the Hildreth family since around 1980! If you LOVE dive bars & cocktail lounges we are one of San Diego’s best. Like’s these bars; Nu Nu’s, Bar Dynamite, Casbah, Live Wire, Air Conditioned, Whistle Stop, Turf Club, Lancers, Red Fox Room, Alibi, The Tower, Zombi Lounge, Scolari’s Office, The Liars Club, Airport Lounge, Cheerybomb, Ono Sushi… then we wanna hang with you & your liver! Basically anyone with a good vibe who like fresh beats & fat drinks! Especially LADIES WHO DRINK LIKE SAILORS! No ding-dong’s, No bad attitudes. THIS IS NOT A PICKUP BAR… respect all the ladies or find a different spot to hang… like anywhere on 5th avenue. Oh ya, no shiny shirt people - save it for downtown or P.B.!

Best little dive ever!
The atmosphere is so laid back and everyone is just trying to have a good time. No need to pretend just be you!!!
Landlord Jim's is like no other.
I do not go out very often in San Diego, but Landlord Jim's makes me feel like I'm really in San Diego. I love the music, the people and the fact that I can enjoy myself without some idiot using pick up lines all night.
Best place for drinks and socializing with the coolest crowd in san diego. No B.S. attitudes, just good times, good art, good music .

This is the type of bar where you don't feel you have to impress anyone or be someone your not. It has that comfortable fun feeling that makes you want to keep coming back.

It's a community of locals, artists, and very nice people. The family has done well with creating an environment that just makes you want to call it home!
