Kendall brings the best independent and foreign films from around the world to Boston. They have better than average refreshments (popcorn minimally greasy and they carry treats from Rosie's Bakery).

The only negative is the price. It's just a bit higher than competing theaters (Coolidge, Davis) and I don't quite understand why they don't take student discounts during peak hours (Fri, Sat)

Although the place has all the appeal of an airplane hanger, they show films there that I can't find anywhere else. The people who work there are great.

The only theater in town that gets the great independent films and isn't all about Hollywood. I wish there were one in Boston but going to Kendall Square Cinema is worth the trip to Cambridge.
