Besst German food in town. I liver there for five years and went from Gasthaus to Gasthaus eating and drinking to develop my palate.

This is true old world excellence and elegance. The food never disappoints (unlike Mader's). It is truly the closest experience to eating in Germany.

The corned beef reuben is to die for, although I don't see it on the on-line menu. The oktoberfest strudel is mouth watering and the sausages are incredible - ALL of them - I've tried a good portion of items on the menu and Ratzsch's is THE place to be if you want authentic German cuisine in a wonderful, friendly atmosphere.

Their customer service is second to none. Judy and her partners have carried on the German tradition as well as offering new items. Its simply the best!!!

They have great menu items that nobody else in town has. Crackling pork shank is awesome and Oktoberfest strudel is truly delicious and unique!

Karl Ratzsch's is German dining at its best. The wait staff is always courteous and friendly. We are regulars here and Eva Schultz is one of the most wonderful waitresses we have ever had the pleasure of meeting. Thank you for all that you do!

Karl Ratzsch's is the last place in Milwaukee to get a great hearty meal. Its the only real german restaurant left in the midwest all the others have the german name but barely have any german entrees on their menu. Also don't go to Mader's they have a major rat problem and was almost closed just a few months ago by the health department because of it.

Ratzsch's obviously has the best German food you can get. Service has always been good and I've never had a bad meal. The building is beautiful, it's one the last restaurants to be a real landmark in Milwaukee.
