Kanlaya Thai Cuisine first opened its doors in May 2004. In this short amount of time, the restaurant has made quite the mark in Washington, D.C. First timers and Thai food enthusiasts will agree that the variety and taste is superb. Kanlaya is a fish out of water in China Town, and we think that's a good thing! It was the first Thai restaurant to open in the area, and our casual yet eloquent atmosphere makes the building stand out. Being located next door to the MCI center also fives Kanlaya choice location. We have a diverse clientele that range from local business workers to the traveling tourist.
