Jim's steaks has been serving the finest quality steaks and hoagies in Philadelphia for over 60 years. This Philadelphia tradition was started in 1939 at it¹s original location of 431 North Sixty-Second Street in West Philadelphia, where it still operates. In 1976, Jim's Steaks expanded to 400 South Street in Center City Philadelphia. Since then it's Art Deco style and family commitment to quality has made Jim¹s Steaks a Philadelphia Landmark.

THEE best cheesesteak on the planet. Period. Other joints may get the press, the publicity, the Food Channel airtime, but that's crap. Jim's is where it's at!! Those who know, know.
Simply the best cheesesteak there is. The bread is fresh, the steak is to flavorful and delicious and everything like the onions, whiz, and all the good stuff is perfect. You can never go wrong with Jim's!
I've been eating these steaks since I was a little girl, 3 yrs old. wouldn't pick anywhere else. If you haven't eaten here before you're definitely missing out!
Yummy steaks - incredibly tasty, and friendly, non-discriminatory service to ALL customers! A great representative of the city of brotherly LOVE!
The Original Jim's on 62nd street in West Philadelphia has the best cheesesteak in town! The meat quality is consistently excellent, and has been for many, many years. My very close second choice is Dalessandro's on Henry Ave.in Germantown. Both of these establishments deserve to be on the top of the voting list.............
I dream of their sandwiches - sad but true! I have to buy more than one too so that I can have one for lunch the following day! They're just sooo good!
Great steaks! I'd take this over any other place in Philly. Upstairs inside seating is also great for getting out of the cold in the winter and fall months.
Jim's is one of my favorites. They have a location on Baltimore Pike in Springfield that never has long lines.
431 North Sixty-Second Street in West Philadelphia is the original location of Jim's Steaks and trust me, if you want a real, non-touristy cheese steak that will knock your socks off, go there. I always order mine with fried onions, American cheese and whiz...heaven!
Jim's Steaks is the best because the steak is tender and tasty, the Cheeze Whiz is awesome and the onions are to die for!
kick butt place - been going for nearly 25 years and will go as long as they are open
