Jake's is the best! I don't live in the area anymore, but all I can ever think about is Jake's BBQ... and of course the BBQ Gods and BB-Cuties. They need to start delivering internationally!

I had Jakes cater a party for me and my guests are still talking about it. Burnt ends were especially awesome. Even better the next day for breakfast.
Smokin' ribs and great beer selection try the Poor Man's Martini !
Jake's has great food, an outstanding - and always rotating - selection of beers and the friendliest staff from the owner on down to the waitresses, bartenders and cooks.
Best meat in town, sauces that tickle every taste bud & the grand finish of a deep fried twinkie. They even have a vegetarian platter for your veggie friends!
Jake's has great food at affordable prices. To date, I have tried the burger w/ cheese & bacon, a pulled pork sandwich, and the KC Burnt ends sandwich. I have not been disappointed in any way, shape, or form. Service is great, the wait staff are friendly and offer good suggestions for food. Not to mention, the beer list is quite expansive! There's gotta be something in that house recipe BBQ sauce that makes you come back again and again...

I'm a native North Carolinian and grew up on pulled-pork barbecue (except that we just called it "barbecue," knowing no other kind. When a friend told me that he had found it in Waltham, my answer was, "Yeah, right..." but I had to eat my words along with a generous serving of the best barbecue I've found north of the Virginia border. The cornbread is just right, but they don't boil the collards to a mush like I'm used to. I eat there a lot and I'll keep coming back as long as it's standing. Gotta go - I'm getting hungry.

Being from the South, I appreciate good BBQ and Jake's by far has the best. We visit Jake's when traveling from PA to NH. Would recommend it highly!

BBQ is awesome and the place rocks. Great place to hang out on a week night, for the big game, or on weekends when the bands come in. Annual BBQ contest is a 'can't miss' event.
