Jack Stack Barbecue was originated in 1957 by the Fiorella family in the traditional style of a storefront Barbecue house with a modest selection of 5-6 items. Jack, the eldest son, worked there from its inception until 1974 when he decided to branch off to expand the Barbecue theme and start Fiorella's Smoke Stack of Martin City.

Jack Stack's bbq is always good! There is no fat in their brisket, their ribs have lots of meat...and they have the best atmosphere of any bbq restaurant in the KC area!
if you havent tried the pulled pork you are missing out....every week!!! so good!! it is borderline ridiculous how flawless the operation is....
There are many good barbeque restaurants and joints in Kansas City, but most are usually only good at one or two items and are always inconsistent on the quality of any menu item on multiple visits. Fiorella's Jack Stack BBQ is the MOST CONSISTENT at producing the same great quality visit after visit on EVERY menu item.
They have the best BBQ around!! Their baked beans are the best, hands down. We get take-out from them pretty often and we always pick up 2 lbs of smoked brisket, a pound of burnt ends and a big-ole tub of baked beans!! I've heard their cheesy corn is awesome also but I've never personally tried it.
the only bad thing i have to say about this place is they serve fat in there meats...
Excellent food and service -- I especially like the original location in Martin City
Always consistent with food quality, in-restaurant and carry-out service quality. Friends and business clients who visit KC ask to go to Jack Stack.
Great beans, ribs, brisket, chicken, onion rings, soups and salads. So happy there are locations throughout the city. Love KC BBQ.
Known for being a bit more upscale than your standard barbecue joint, but would you eat lamb ribs or a beef short plate of ribs with a plastic fork? Their barbecue is absolutely the best I've sampled in over 10 states. Just walking in gives me the chills smelling that smokey flavor in the air. Try their beef burnt ends with a large side of those hickory pit beans. How do they make those beans taste so GOOD! To be clear, their name is Fiorella's Jack Stack Barbecue. My favorite location is still Jack's original place in Martin City at 135th and Holmes. Very quaint and homespun on the outskirts of town. The service is top-notch at any of their restaurants. Very knowledgeable staff to help make your visit perfect. Try 'em, you'll love it.
