plough and stars cambridge mass ave central square
A narrow bar without much lighting, but a damn relaxing atmosphere. Cozy, warm and inviting. Live music often.

    Burren
A big honking Irish bar in Davis Square with two rooms and live music 7 nights a week. Worth the cover charge on weekends for sure.

The jewel of Brighton Center has live music Mondays. I love their patio in the summer.

Matt Murphy's Pub in Brookline Village
I've heard they no longer do the live music thing, but Matt Murphy's USED to be great w/ live music 7 nights a week and never a cover. Even if they didn't have music, I'd still recommend the bar to anyone.

    14 Harvard St | Brookline, MA | (617) 232-0188

Neighborhood: Brookline Village | Tags: Irish Pub, Live Music

    Real Irish Pub tradition, Boston
Usually quite crowded, but Mr. Dooley's on Broad Street is a great bar. Live music nightly.

    77 Broad St | Boston, MA | (617) 338-5656

Neighborhood: Financial District | Tags: Irish Pub
