In Ireland – where they've raised community and relaxation to an art form – the pub is the social center. It's a place to meet family, friends, or business associates, catch up on news, debate politics, share a joke. It is a place of character and cadence rather than impersonal efficiency. The Irish Rover has tried to recreate this idea. Recipes are authentic, the Guinness is shipped from Dublin, and the owner's brogue comes direct from County Clare.

I'd have to say the Rover is really the only Irish Pub in Louisville. An Irish Pub doesn't play Hip Hop on the weekends to draw a crowd, they remain true to their roots, which is what's still going on at the Irish Rover.
Nice atmoshere, Nice location (historic Frankfort Ave), Great food! The fish and chips is my favorite!! Comfortable neighborhood pub.
One of my favorite places. Every once and while a get a "fish and chip" craving and there no place that can fill it like the Rover. Try the one in LaGrange it is equally yummy.
The most Irish place in town!! This is our go-to place for great food and great atmosphere! The Irish Rover Too in La Grange is amazing as well!
Best fish in chips in town! Great atmosphere and wonderful beer selection. Great place where adults can enjoy a very nice meal and please their kids at the same time.
