The Cheech E. Marin Lifetime Achievement Award: Shelly's Garden Burritos When Shelly Sandoval opened her first cart in 1991, it was a breakthrough moment. There may have been carts at Pioneer Courthouse Square, but none so vibrant, so focused, so staffed with cute people quick with the chat. In 1993 Shelly added a new term, Honkin' Huge, to our vernacular and changed the way we use condiments today. Even though the price of the Honkin' Huge has jumped from $3 to $4.50, the signature healthy tortilla stuffed with beans, rice, lettuce, guac, cheese and sour cream and topped with tomatoes is not just a part of our culture, but helps define it. It is for this reason that we bestow the Cheech E. Marin Lifetime Achievement Award on Shelly's Gardens. Pioneer Courthouse Squarel
