Guide to Brooklyn's best bagels

Nothing is better than a bagel from the bagel capital of the world. Brooklyn has no shortage of bagel bakeries -- some imposter's, some the real deal. What are the best? Read on to find out.
-
La Bagel Delight
These bagels are so chewy and delicious -- perfect with cream cheese or as the base of a delicious sandwich.
They also carry Boards Head deli meats which is the deciding factor in what makes their bagel sandwiches the best. -
Bagel Hole
Debating NYC's best bagel can be a life-threatening adventure, but I'm of the belief that The Bagel Hole in Park Slope is the finest the city has to offer.
Dense, chewy and delicious. A bagel with cream cheese is only $1.30. My regular was the sesame bagel with plain cream cheese.
P.S. - Don't ask them to toast it lest you look like a fool.
-
Bagel Store
The Bagel Store on the South Side of Williamsburg, is a fine place to get a bagel. Dare to be a little adventurous with different flavors and good sandwich options. Not as good of a PURE bagel, but the options help make up some ground.
-
Terrace Bagels
Terrace's bagels have the best "bite" to them -- by that I mean, when you bite into them you have the best combination of crispy outside and soft, chewy inside.
-
Bergen Bagels
Bergen definitely is a different type of bagel than most others on the list. They're on the fluffy side. The big selection of cream cheeses helps. The coffee is serviceable and the service is reliable and quick.
