Welcome to Green Apple Books and Music. Our store on Clement Street in San Francisco has been a destination for bibliophiles for over 40 years. We buy, sell, and trade new and used books, CDs, and DVDs seven days a week. We offer a huge and carefully chosen selection of new and used books. While we’re proud of our humble website, we encourage you to see the real thing, the reason Green Apple is consistently voted the best bookstore in the Bay Area. The staff that work here are so friendly and knowledgable, no matter how obscure my request or even if I only have half the title, or don't know the author - they not only know what I am talking about, but have it in stock and know where it is located. It also helps that its only a few blocks from my house!
Good selection of used books brings me back. I love to be able to support a local bookstore whenever I can.
Great bookstore with a great selection. Both pros, the cons? Well, I find them really expensive for a used bookstore and some of the staff are a bit intimidating. So go and find the book you want, but be prepared to pay top of the range. And be careful who you ask to help you find it...
I love Green Apple Books. They have a great selection of used books. You could spend hours browsing the selection. As a history buff I love the large historical room. The prices are very reasonable and the staff really knows their books. I great place to shop or spend an afternoon.
If you need a used bookstore to while away a couple of hours, here's your place. They have a large selection and have been around a long time.
