The Running Company was started by Gene and Amanda Mitchell in 1998. The first of eight stores was opened in Princeton, NJ in 1999. More than just a business venture, the Running Company was started as an expression of Gene and Amanda’s enthusiasm for the sport of running and its healthy life style.
