FRASINETTI WINERY was founded near Sacramento in 1897 by James Frasinetti, an Italian immigrant making Frasinetti the oldest family-owned and operated wine producer in the Sacramento area. At its peak, Frasinetti Winery had planted 400 acres and shipped to the East Coast. It survived prohibition by selling table grapes and making Altar Wine. From expansion in the 1940’s, agricultural demise in the 1950’s, a boom in 1960’s, 1970’s saw grandsons, Howard and Gary, pursue changes to varietal wines produced with emphasis on Oak cooperage. In 1985 they established a restaurant in the East Cellar for dining, banquets, and weddings. Quaint charm for special dinners, holiday meals, wine tasting and weddings, with an accent on making special moments memorable in a beautiful historic setting. We have birthday dinners there and have been to weddings there. My husband and I also had our first date. It has great food and a great atmosphere.
My husband was the first chef at Frasinetti's (13years) and we were the first wedding their too! Fantastic place, Wonderful food and Friendly people. We still go back and visit. An experience you must try!
LOVE this place!! Love it so much that we had our wedding and reception there!! We go to dinner every year on our anniversary, also!!!!

I had my wedding reception at Frasinetti, and it was perfect! My husband and I celebrate our anniversary there every year, and Howard remembers us each time. Wonderful hideaway for a romantic dinner.

Favorite restaurant. Love the booths for intimacy. Family and friends have always enjoyed the visit. Dine there almost monthly and never let down.
My wife and I visit Frasinetti's for special occasions or when we need time for ourselves.
