Welcome to Flip on Nine Mile road. We offer vintage hair accessories and all the salon services you need. Our services include, a full massage ,or a 20 minute chair massage if your in a hurry, makeup and eyebrow shaping, nails, and all hair services Owned by Irene Petts, Flip opened as a full service salon in spring 2005.

Professional stylists, great atmosphere, easy to find in Fashionable Ferndale. Dean has been my stylist for over 12 years- his ideas are innovative and his color/dye skills are excellent.

The Best salon experience EVER! I love my hair, and everyone I've seen leaving Flip looks amazing. Freindly, great energy, and Anna , Jane , and Ginny are the best at nails, massage, and brows!

Flip is a great salon. It is upbeat and modern. Great style and cuts without being stuffy or snooty. They have unique products to browse if you get a chance to look around. Irene gives a great cut!

Shelby always makes my hair look its best, and provides no nonsense advice that works concerning hair washing shampoo and hair positioning stuff. Jane, the massage therapist, is gifted and is genuinely concerned with the well being of her clients.

Owner, Irene, began working her creations on my head several years ago when I could not conceive looking in the mirror and being pleased. Irene, from then to present, continues to offer her 'gift' of hair creations to a population ranging widely in diversity. Her and her entire staff at Flip greet ALL with respect and warmness, focusing on pleasing their clientele and going beyond expectations. Flip will always and forever be in my heart and will remain grateful for, even if it does not make "The Best" list. I know IT IS!! Thanks, Irene and Flip!

Flip is the best place in town! Their prices are VERY reasonable, and the entire staff is friendly and extremely knowledgeable regarding advances in follicular technology. They carry a vast array of affordable hair products, and they DON'T try to force you into buying anything. No one likes getting their hair cut, only to have the stylist turn around and become a sales person! They always have coffee and munchies lying around, too. Ask for Dean! He's super nice and immediately recognizes your specific hair pattern the FIRST time. You won't get up the next day and have a hard time making your newly-cut hair look good. GO DEAN!

Heather at Flip rocks out with her scissors out! She's awesome- she listens to her customers and does what they ask for. Plus, the atmosphere at Flip is fun, retro and super friendly. It reminds me of salons in San Francisco or LA...Yay Flip!

Flip has it all and in all the right places. They won't let you walk out of there unless you look your very best.
