Fernbank Museum is a non-profit and focused on learning and not entertainment. I think this is how Fernbank differs from the Aquarium and other 'attractions' around Atlanta.

The museum offers great exhibits for children and great jazz nights at Martini and an IMAX...great entertainment for the price. Only downfall is that the museum doesn't have very many interesting exhibits for adults...only children.

This museum has something for everyone! Up to date dinosaur exhibits, a hands-on area for kids, and visiting exhibits that make it a new trip every time make it worthwhile to visit more than once.

Inexpensive membership, beautiful building, classic exhibits that children are always excited to see. I killed 6 hours in one day there with my 3-year-old cousin.

I grew up near Fernbank and have loved it. I've taken my children there on visits back home and hope to take my granddaughter.
