We are Detroit Comics and here is our story. Boy meets girl. Boy drags girl to every comic book store and convention in a 250 mile radius over 9 years. Girl soon realizes that not every comic book store is created equally. Boy marries girl. Boy hates job and they both decide to live out a passion and open a comic book store. Detroit Comics is located on historic Woodward Avenue in bustling Ferndale, Michigan. Our goal is to provide a cool, clean store with friendly and knowledgeable service. If you are tired of crappy and cluttered stores, we are the store for you. If you are tired of pretentious proprietors who could care less that you are in their store, we are the store for you. Whether you are old, young, female, geeky, or never have read a comic in your life, we hope you will stop in and see what we are all about.

Family-friendly, not a "guys only club". Clean, well planned. Lots of comics, TPBs, Graphic Novels, accessories and TOYS. NICE place to go to! Always interesting; frequent spontaneous discussions are likely to break out and include YOU. Bring your friends, and/or your kids. Brian and Lori take good care of this Comic Chick's comic needs. Great for the grown-ups, geeks and kids.
Amazing staff. Friendliest comic book store I've ever been in. Great selection, and if they don't have it they'll get it for you.
I love Detroit Comics! They have every comic book you could imagine and a great friendly owner that is very helpful and kind to each customer
Great Comic Store Even if you don't enjoy comics yourself but your kids do!Just bring along your pocket book, this place has a lot of merchandise. The guy that runs the place is an odd fella, with a warped sense of humor'; But a stand-up citizen with a great haircut all the same
Everything you want a comic store to be! Friendly, knowledgable owner with a wide selection of standards and indie titles. The best in town!
The store is inviting and not at all junky. I have a place to sit while my husband shops. The owner is very nice.
Well organized, friendly, clean and comfortable; everything I want from a local comic book store.
Detroit Comics is clean and resembles a bookstore. It doesn't have heaps of stuff all around and has a cozy reading area.
