Desperados is a family owned and operated Mexican restaurant rich in history as well as flavor. Founded on historical Greenville Avenue in 1976, Desperados has achieved “landmark” status in Dallas . These Bandidos are well-known for their fabulous food, sticking to traditional family recipes and even infusing some new twists. However, they are infamous for their margaritas, from the tangy La Traditional, to the smooth Mangorita, to the multi award winning La Margarita. As a matter of fact, in their history, they have been awarded the "Best Margarita in Dallas" a total of five times. These honors have been bestowed onto Desperados by the Dallas Margarita Society, the Cinco de Mayo Festivals of Dallas, and D Magazine.
