Darwin's was born in March of 1999 with no apologies for a name that can only be controversial in unenlightened areas. The Stepford standard of bling and curb appeal are nonexistent, as are games and TVs. As mediocrity left the building years ago, worthy performances are expected to hold their own. Planet Cobb's most unlikely source for substance - Darwin's - has dared to evolve, winning more awards for music than any other music venue in the history of Cobb County.

Any place that has a separate menu for cheese toast is a winner in my book! :) From Motor City Josh, to Chris Duarte outstanding music ! The intimacy borders on sardine can-like (its perfect, imho.) The clients exude a rowdy sophistication that is the perfect blend of raccus fun and good manners. And, Kaye is the perfect host. What's not to like?

Kay has always brought in the best Blues acts around. The comfortable atmosphere of the club and the great staff are just extras.

From the first time I walked into the door, and heard the great blues music, I have been back at least once a week ever since. Miss Kay gets some of the best local and national blues rockers out there.

I've been to many Blues Clubs, but Kay brings in the best acts around....No better place to spend an evening than Darwin's.

This is the best place around... there is no other...you have amazing band/musicians such as John McKnight, Andrew Black, and Beau Hall... cant get much better...

From singing in a band there to coming to the open jam, Darwin's is by far the BEST in Atlanta. Its a small intimate place where you can see the best blues/jazz bands around. And the owner, Kay, and the staff are good friends and great people!!!

Live music isn't about mustang sally covers, its about original work from talented professional musicians. No free club can compare with the music in this bar, and the people both on staff and in the crowd are like family.
