Best damn dance floor I've seen in years! Not to mention the most attentive bartenders and the widest cross section of patrons and the patio's not too shabby either, and I don't even smoke!

I've been to several bars in Denver. The Compound has everything for everyone. If you want to dance, play, or window shopping it is the place to be. Compound has the best DJ's. DJ Ken-E is my favorite he gets me moving even If I'm not there to dance for the night.

Since the renovations the Compound has only become better than before. The owners, managers and staff are ALL just above friendly and helpful. Being the oldest gay bar in Denver, and for the most part under the same ownership, the boys know what we want and need in a great club. Hot men, hot heavy pounding dance music. Come and see the new and improved Compound. I've been going there for years, and intend to continue doing so.

The Compound is a great bar to hang out with friends to play darts and/or pool. Their patio is nice and the new dance bar is fabulous. All of the staff are fun to be around and take very good care of their customers.

This is the friendliest bar in Denver. No other bar has such a great variety of customers, entertainment, and staff. The ownership has always been willing to go the extra mile for the clientel.

What a great place to have fun without the stand and model crowd. They have a great staff, good drinks and a wonderful dance floor. Everyone is there to have fun and the staff all go out of their way to make sure of this. They also have the best DJs in the city for sure. I love Friday nights the best. Dj Zac ROCKS. Thanks everybody from the pound. Keep it up.

The Compound has been such in incredible part of the Denver gay community for such a long time. It is the type of place where everyone goes into at least once. I am sure if you ask around you will find that everyone has a story about the place. Sadly that seems to have ended with the remodel. Everything looks nice and new, but what did they do to the character of the place? Where are the bartenders that knew you by name? The dj's that actually mixed music together instead of throwing on a prerecorded cd. Long gone are the days when the Compound was the place in town to get the strongest drink. Whatever happened to the 'never a cover'? How about the 'slightly unsavory yet always a good time'? This is what made the Compound such a great place. The remodel looks great but apparently it has made everything else about the place sterile.

Since the remodel, The Compound really looks nice, great dance floor and always a good mix of everybody hanging out locally and having a good time. One thing is that the music always rocks here with amazing DJs spinning their cutting edge styles, always been fun to meet up with my friends and hang out and dance without the attitude

Denver has a several great gay bars but what makes The Compound the best is that it has a little bit of everything. It's not too big, not too small...during the day and happy hours it's like a neighborhood bar but at night it turns into a full fledged dance club with a good sized dance floor, fantastic mixes by skilled DJs and a state of the art light show. The crowd is mixed, mostly men, but everyone is welcome. When I moved to Denver 10 years ago I decided Compound was my favorite bar because of these reasons and of the low-key attitude, fast/friendly service and all around good vibe. I've met many great friends (and a few romances!) at the Compound and take all my out of town friends there who always love it! Thanks for the great times Compound! --Cheers!
